Nicholas Rudyk was born in 1959 in the village of Shevchenko in Zaporizhzhya region, Ukraine. Now he lives and works in Zaporizhzhya. After finishing music shool and art school he graduated from the painting department of Dnipropetrovsk painting collage. The range of his interests is extremely wide: from landscape and still life to portrait and icon. His paintings are of special demand among private collectors in Ukraine and abroad. The icons painted by Nicholas Rudyk are situated in the churches of Zaporizhzhya. The religious paintings have a special place in his art. Since 1991 he has taken part in professional art exhibitions of the Ukrainian Painter\'s Union.
